The Chris and Patsy Nielsen Memorial Scholarship

 

 Honoring a Legacy of Brotherhood, Leadership and Service

 

The Chris and Patsy Nielsen Memorial Scholarship is a heartfelt tribute to two

remarkable individuals who left an indelible mark on  Pi Kappa Alpha and the Transylvania University community.

Chris Nielsen was a true pillar of the Transylvania community. During his student years, he served as President (SMC) of Pi Kappa Alpha and Junior Class President. He later returned to his beloved university as Dean of Students, where his mentorship shaped the lives of countless students, leaving a lasting impact.

Patsy Nielsen was a Pike Little Sister, the fraternity’s Dream Girl, and Miss Transylvania, she was cherished for her spirit and charisma. She was a proud and active member of the Tri Delta Sorority. 

 

Patsy was also an accomplished athlete, earning induction into the Transylvania Athletic Hall of Fame. Her passion, dedication, and service continued to inspire everyone fortunate enough to have known her. ​​​​​

The Kappa Chapter Alumni Association announces the establishment of the Robert “Izzy” Stiskin Memorial Scholarship, honoring one of Transylvania University’s most dedicated and influential alumni. Izzy Stiskin’s lifelong commitment, leadership, and unwavering support of the Transy Pike brotherhood continue to inspire generations and now, his legacy will support future leaders. The Robert “Izzy” Stiskin Memorial Scholarship will provide semester-based financial support to active members of Pi Kappa Alpha who demonstrate academic excellence. Scholarships will be awarded at the end of each semester to every Pike earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher. All alumni, family, and friends who contribute will be honored with their names displayed permanently in the Pi Kappa Alpha Chapter Room.
