The 2025–2026 school year is shaping up to be one of the most financially challenging in decades for college fraternities across the country. Rising costs, especially skyrocketing liability insurance premiums, are putting enormous pressure on student chapters.

At Transylvania University, the Kappa Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha is not immune.
That’s why the Transy Pike Alumni Association (KCAA) has stepped up. We’re committed to easing the burden on today’s undergraduates by providing vital funding for Rush, social events, leadership training, chapter room rent, and philanthropic initiatives.

We’re especially grateful to Rick Berman ’64, Kappa’s most senior SMC, for his generous and ongoing contributions to help cover the cost of liability insurance—a financial burden that could otherwise overwhelm the chapter.
